Facilities for Disabled Visitors
The Ardnamurchan Lighthouse Visitor Centre welcomes people with disabilities, and its staff will be pleased to provide any assistance required.
The Stables Coffee Shop has full disabled access through its second door, and there is a toilet suitable for disabled people. There is wheelchair access to the Exhibition Centre (though there is a single step to negotiate) and to the viewing platform at the foghorn. Entry to the exhibition is free to people with disabilities.
The Keeper’s West Cottage has two steps, but a temporary ramp can be provided for wheelchairs. The inside of the cottage is fully accessible.
Owing to the nature of the building, there can unfortunately be no disabled access to the tower. The ascent of the tower (152 steps and two ladders) is only suitable for people who are physically fit.
