Latitude 56° 43.6′ N Longitude 6° 13.4′ W

At the most westerly point on the British mainland, Ardnamurchan Lighthouse has been guiding ships safely through the waters off Scotland’s west coast since 1849.

The opening of visitor facilities at the Ardnamurchan Lighthouse is postponed until further notice. This decision was taken in response to guidance from the Scottish Government and World Health Organisation concerning the COVID-19 outbreak.

The wellbeing of our staff, guests and local community is paramount. We do not feel able to operate safely during Social Distancing measures. This closure will be reviewed as new information becomes available.
